We are in the middle of our first week welcoming a group of American spring-breakers who decided to not go to the beach, but rather come to Italy and serve along side of us. This week our alma mater school, The University of Central Florida, is joining us.
One of the main things we try to accomplish while they are here is to find creative ways for them to interact with Italians at the University and engage in spiritual conversations that hopefully lead to sharing the gospel. So for the past two days, we’ve setup large photo exhibits that allow students to come and observe. While observing, we engage in conversation asking how these pictures relate to their life, and their relationship with God. It has opened up some neat opportunities for conversation that we would not have had otherwise. Pray for more opportunities like this in the coming weeks! Next week we will host a group of 25 from Mississippi.

What a great way to get the conversations started! I hope that the students enjoy their time in Italy and I’ll be praying for the next group of students who are coming in. Do a lot of the students speak a little bit of English or are you having to speak fluent Italian?

Most don’t speak English very well at all, so we have to speak Italian (which we’re learning). Fewer speak simple English, and the elite few speak fluent. We pray to meet the fluent English speakers if possible!

Thanks for your hard work among the peoples of Italy! Enjoyed our Skype conversation the other day. Trust you had a blessed Easter.

It was great talking to you PC. So encouraging to know you think and pray for us. Easter was good, but we missed OGC. You are in our thoughts and prayers too!
