Came across an interesting article about the Italian government using Facebook (gotta love social networking) to make a mafia arrest. Apparently he was responsible for killing a rival mafia guy with a portable rocket launcher.

We are in the middle of our first week welcoming a group of American spring-breakers who decided to not go to the beach, but rather come to Italy and serve along side of us. This week our alma mater school, The University of Central Florida, is joining us.

One of the main things we try to accomplish while they are here is to find creative ways for them to interact with Italians at the University and engage in spiritual conversations that hopefully lead to sharing the gospel. So for the past two days, we’ve setup large photo exhibits that allow students to come and observe. While observing, we engage in conversation asking how these pictures relate to their life, and their relationship with God. It has opened up some neat opportunities for conversation that we would not have had otherwise. Pray for more opportunities like this in the coming weeks! Next week we will host a group of 25 from Mississippi.

How about you? Which photo represents your relationship with God right now?

Most nights before bed, the kids insist on singing a song after we finish reading a book or two. This particular time, I caught a recording of it. The vocal talents performing “Jesus Loves Me” are Addison (our 2 year old daughter) and Bryce (our 3 year old son). Addison is the lead singer, but Bryce steps in to help her a bit. Enjoy!

Oh, while you’re here, be sure to subscribe to our updates via RSS or email. You can do that by hovering over the “Subscribe” button up top on the menu bar and clicking either option. Thx!

I wanted to take a moment and encourage each of you to join the email list for our national updates. We will be sharing what’s going on locally here in Salerno, and in our lives regularly. But, it would be great for you to have an idea what is going on with Agape Italia (Crusade here in Italy) across the nation. The updates are only quarterly, so don’t worry… they won’t flood your inbox!

We’re on our way back to Salerno, leaving tomorrow at 1:30. After nearly 3 months in the US, we are anxious to return home. It will be extremely hard to leave our families, and we’ll miss them deeply.

Please pray for our trip. Just to give you an idea of what it takes to get us around…

8 Bags (we actually ended up with 9 + 2 carryons and a 2 strollers!)

I’ve made a few significant updates to our site, all with the hopes it will make it more accessible to a wider audience. First, I added a “Subscribe via Email” function. If you subscribe, it will send you an email that will show the post right in your inbox. Its a good way to keep up to date if you don’t know how to use an RSS reader. You’ll find this option on the menu bar…

    Email Subscription

Finally, I added functionality for mobile users. iPhone users in particular (it will work for other smart phones too I think). If you want to follow our blog from your mobile device, it will automatically format it for your phone. With the option of course to view it normally too. I’m pretty excited about this one. If you have a wordpress blog and want the same functionality, just look for a plugin called WPtouch. It’s really easy to format.

Our good buddy Marko was able to join us in America for 10 days. He experienced many things that changed his life. One of those things was a Five Guys hamburger. If you haven’t had one, go get one!

We are visiting Abbey’s family in a small town outside of Baltimore and having a blast! We were very fortunate to be here for one of the biggest snow storms of the century. Here’s a video of the kids having a blast! Looks like it might be a white Christmas after all. You can view other videos of our trip here.
