Groomsmen/Future Brother In-Law

Alex is Abbey’s younger brother by 2½ years — though if you ask him, those 2½ years feel more like a lifetime of character-building. Growing up, Abbey made sure Alex developed thick skin early, and he’ll be the first to tell you he turned out better for it. The two bonded over chocolate chip waffles, cooking steaks and french fries with the family, and the occasional round of Halo or Minecraft. Alex and Abbey have always kept each other sharp, and he considers himself her moral anchor — a title he takes very seriously.

In all seriousness, Abbey set the bar high. As a high school valedictorian, she showed Alex what it looked like to go after something with everything you had — and whether she knows it or not, that meant everything to him. He is incredibly proud of the woman she has become, even if she is a little dramatic sometimes. He is honored to stand beside her on one of the biggest days of her life. From everything he has seen, Justin is exactly the kind of man Abbey deserves, and he could not be more excited to welcome him into the family. Outside of keeping Abbey humble, Alex recently graduated with a degree in Data Analytics from Tennessee Technological University and enjoys weightlifting and playing video games in his free time.

Groomsmen/Cousin

Cameron is Justin’s first cousin and they have known each other their whole life. From birthday parties to family get togethers growing up, Cameron is excited to see Justin tie the knot in this next phase of life. Cameron is a Realtor and small business owner and enjoys spending his time on the lake, traveling, and his dogs. He is grateful to be a part of the big celebration. Fun fact - Abbey’s mom was his teacher in elementary school.

Groomswoman

Carter Rosser will be proudly standing next to Justin Martin as a groomsman and a long time friend. Carter and Justin went to high school together and were more so acquaintances, until they both came to Chattanooga for college, where they started hanging out more and bonding over the fact they are both from Campbell County. Since that first semester and many nights spent in Carters dorm room (that was always filled with people) their friendship has only grown to feel more like family. In their mutual friend group, which they jokingly call The Council, they have enjoyed having family dinners, nights out, and plenty of Sunday brunch trips. Justin is also a wonderful uncle to Carters cat, Theo. Carter feels honored to be asked to join Justin and Abbey on their wedding day! She is also excited to be gaining a new friend in Abbey.

In her free time, Carter enjoys thrifting, trying new coffee shops and restaurants, and learning about all things beauty! She loves experimenting with new beauty products and trends. Carter believes makeup is a great way to bring personality & fun into every day!

Meredith Rippy, Groomswoman, is thrilled to stand beside Justin and Abbey as they begin this next chapter together. Interestingly, Meredith became friends with each of them long before they met. She and Abbey worked together at Cracker Barrel throughout high school, where Abbey quickly became one of her favorite coworkers—and the friend who made every shift more fun.

Meredith first met Justin in fifth grade after being introduced by her mom during a middle school orientation, but their friendship truly began years later through the youth group at Cedar Hill Baptist Church. They both attended the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, where weekly hangouts with fellow Campbell County students eventually evolved into their close-knit friend group affectionately known as “The Council.” Over the years, Justin has become Meredith’s Chattanooga family. Whether they’re nerd-ing out over music and technology, waiting far too long for brunch at Milk & Honey, trying new restaurants, perfecting their grilling skills, or simply being there for one another, Justin has been a steadfast friend through every season.

When Justin and Abbey started dating, Meredith couldn’t wait for Justin to give her permission to text Abbey and tell her she’d found a good one. She’s overjoyed to celebrate their wedding and wishes them a lifetime filled with love, laughter, and happiness.
