Wedding Party

The dress code for our wedding is Dressy Casual — a sophisticated yet comfortable look that’s polished without being overly formal. Think nice dresses, skirts or dress pants with blouses, or dress shirts and slacks; lightweight jackets or blazers are welcome. Please avoid white or shades similar to white out of respect for the bride. As a quick guide, something similar to what you would wear to church is perfect. We can’t wait to see your dressy favorites!

Maid of HonorEmma Chase, the maid of honor, is Abbey's roommate of over 5 years now. After randomly being assigned to the same hall of their freshman dorm at Lee University, she and Abbey quickly bonded over their shared love for late-night food runs, strategic board games, and doing things for the plot. Emma is a senior actuarial assistant at Unum, and, when she's not goofing off with Abbey or studying for an exam, she loves rock-climbing, journaling, and trying new crafts. She can't wait to celebrate Abbey and Justin with you!

BridesmaidRachel Currey is Abbey’s cousin, though Abbey has always felt like a sister she never had. From always wearing matching outfits as kids, to spending our childhood summers together watching movies and playing Lego Batman all night, we always have the best time together.Rachel loves to spend time outside gardening, walking her dog Maverick at the park, and baking. She is an adventurous spirit who loves to travel the world. Rachel is honored to stand by Abbey’s side on her and Justin’s big day.

BridesmaidMeet Camille, one of Abbeys closest friends and proud bridesmaid. Camille and Abbey first met at a Halloween singles mixer, quickly bonding over just how terrible the event was. What started as shared misery turned into hours of conversation about their hobbies, their love of reading, and all the things they had in common. After one hangout, it didn’t take long for their friendship to grow into something truly special. From then on they were inseparable, always laughing and making unforgettable memories together. They were soon lucky enough to welcome Abbey’s fiancé, Justin, into the mix, bonding over “goofy” matching pj’s (if you know, you know). These days, Camille is even lucky enough to call Abbey her roommate. She works at a family office and spends her free time reading, and enjoying life with her friends, family, and her families many beloved pets. Camille feels incredibly grateful to be part of such a wonderful friend group and couldn’t ask for better friends than Abbey and Justin. Being part of their journey from the very beginning, is something she cherishes deeply, and she is so honored to stand by their side as they begin this next chapter. She can’t wait to offer her unwavering support and celebrate their love, and all the happiness that lies ahead.

BridesmaidAlison and Abbey have been friends since their freshmen year of college, where they immediately bonded in their intro to statistics class. Luckily enough, Abbey is a genius and helped coach Alison throughout this class (and eventually Andrew, who they convinced to be their bestie once he realized how cool they were). They were fortunate enough to have lived together the last two years of college, which were the best two years ever. They had many good memories in college including late night pizza and cookout runs, long chats about personality tests, and staying up late watching Disney and RomCom movies. Alison is an elementary school teacher and when she’s not at school, she enjoys hanging out with her husband Brett and doing youth ministry with him at their church. She is SO excited for Abbey and Justin and is honored to be able to stand by Abbey on such an important day!!

BridesmaidLindsay Bowling, fellow bridesmaid of Abbey!I was blessed with the friendship of Abbey Swanner more years ago than I can count. Abbey and I share wonderful memories of family vacations together, creating dances and songs inspired by swimming in the rain and bringing home the pizza(you had to be there LOL), and eating bowls of brownie batter in Dee Dee and Ronalds kitchen. I feel so lucky to be a part of this day! I am a licensed cosmetologist and I spend my days being an uncertified therapist. When not doing that I love enjoying the sunshine, being with people I love, and am a serial new-hobby-starter hehe. I cannot wait to enjoy this time of planning and celebrating the lovely couple!!

BridesmaidAudrey Sharpe, a bridesmaid, met Abbey middle school. They became good friends in high school, then reconnected later on and became even closer! Audrey is so blessed to have such a wonderful, tight knit group of girlfriends, all who she met thanks to Abbey. She loves going out of her comfort zone, juicy yap sessions, and most importantly, quality time with quality company. As long as she's with her friends she'll do just about anything and have a blast while doing so! Audrey is incredibly happy for Abbey and Justin, and so grateful to be able to be a part in this beautiful celebration!

BridesmaidAlex Boggs has been Abbey’s friend ever since Emma introduced them in college. From the first time they met and played board games, it’s been an instant friendship. Abbey and Alex especially love watching March Madness and screaming at the players together. Alex loves spending time with her friends, family, and her two big dogs, Shep and Shelley. When she’s not spending time with loved ones, Alex can be found in the kitchen cooking and baking or with her nose stuck in the latest romance novel. Alex is honored to be by Abbey’s side on the first day of her and Justin’s happily ever after.

BridesmaidI have been lucky enough to be friends with Abbey for as long as I can remember, and I am so thankful for all of the memories we have shared over the years. Some of my favorites are playing countless games of Clue, eating chocolate chip pancakes with Dr Pepper, and spending hours watching movies and TV shows together, especially Cutthroat Kitchen. I am entering my final year at the University of Tennessee, and in my free time I enjoy swimming, reading, and spending time with my friends and family. Abbey is one of the smartest people I know, and I have always admired how kind and thoughtful she is. I am so excited to stand by her side on such a special day and celebrate the beginning of this new chapter with her and Justin. I cannot wait to celebrate the amazing couple they are and all that is ahead for them!

Connor Martin

Groomsmen/Future Brother In-LawAlex is Abbey’s younger brother by 2½ years — though if you ask him, those 2½ years feel more like a lifetime of character-building. Growing up, Abbey made sure Alex developed thick skin early, and he’ll be the first to tell you he turned out better for it. The two bonded over chocolate chip waffles, cooking steaks and french fries with the family, and the occasional round of Halo or Minecraft. Alex and Abbey have always kept each other sharp, and he considers himself her moral anchor — a title he takes very seriously. In all seriousness, Abbey set the bar high. As a high school valedictorian, she showed Alex what it looked like to go after something with everything you had — and whether she knows it or not, that meant everything to him. He is incredibly proud of the woman she has become, even if she is a little dramatic sometimes. He is honored to stand beside her on one of the biggest days of her life. From everything he has seen, Justin is exactly the kind of man Abbey deserves, and he could not be more excited to welcome him into the family. Outside of keeping Abbey humble, Alex recently graduated with a degree in Data Analytics from Tennessee Technological University and enjoys weightlifting and playing video games in his free time.

Groomsmen/CousinCameron is Justin’s first cousin and they have known each other their whole life. From birthday parties to family get togethers growing up, Cameron is excited to see Justin tie the knot in this next phase of life. Cameron is a Realtor and small business owner and enjoys spending his time on the lake, traveling, and his dogs. He is grateful to be a part of the big celebration. Fun fact - Abbey’s mom was his teacher in elementary school.

GroomswomanCarter Rosser will be proudly standing next to Justin Martin as a groomsman and a long time friend. Carter and Justin went to high school together and were more so acquaintances, until they both came to Chattanooga for college, where they started hanging out more and bonding over the fact they are both from Campbell County. Since that first semester and many nights spent in Carters dorm room (that was always filled with people) their friendship has only grown to feel more like family. In their mutual friend group, which they jokingly call The Council, they have enjoyed having family dinners, nights out, and plenty of Sunday brunch trips. Justin is also a wonderful uncle to Carters cat, Theo. Carter feels honored to be asked to join Justin and Abbey on their wedding day! She is also excited to be gaining a new friend in Abbey.In her free time, Carter enjoys thrifting, trying new coffee shops and restaurants, and learning about all things beauty! She loves experimenting with new beauty products and trends. Carter believes makeup is a great way to bring personality &amp; fun into every day!

GroomswomanMeredith Rippy, Groomswoman, is thrilled to stand beside Justin and Abbey as they begin this next chapter together. Interestingly, Meredith became friends with each of them long before they met. She and Abbey worked together at Cracker Barrel throughout high school, where Abbey quickly became one of her favorite coworkers—and the friend who made every shift more fun.Meredith first met Justin in fifth grade after being introduced by her mom during a middle school orientation, but their friendship truly began years later through the youth group at Cedar Hill Baptist Church. They both attended the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, where weekly hangouts with fellow Campbell County students eventually evolved into their close-knit friend group affectionately known as “The Council.” Over the years, Justin has become Meredith’s Chattanooga family. Whether they’re nerd-ing out over music and technology, waiting far too long for brunch at Milk &amp; Honey, trying new restaurants, perfecting their grilling skills, or simply being there for one another, Justin has been a steadfast friend through every season.When Justin and Abbey started dating, Meredith couldn’t wait for Justin to give her permission to text Abbey and tell her she’d found a good one. She’s overjoyed to celebrate their wedding and wishes them a lifetime filled with love, laughter, and happiness.
